what are we fighting for

Solo opens Saturday. This is the time anxiety normally kicks in. Looking forward to seeing a lot of friends at the show, and hopefully new faces. My wife and I have decided to do a partial fast (giving up meat, sweets, and bread) leading up up the show. I don't really have a sweet tooth so the sweets were not really a big sacrifice. OBJECT will be down from Brooklyn to play the show, and I always love to see them live. Also we will be premiering Twinki da Kid a short film I shot here in DC with a long time collaborator Bradley Glanzrock. Hopefully it will be well recieved. I am currating a show in February at the same gallery (cre8space) and I feel like its a follow up to Love Hurts a valentines show I put together at Studio OneEight (Rip). My mentor Matt Sesow (one on the best american painters working today) and many other great DC artists have already agreed to do it. The working title is LOVE STAINS AND MEMORIES REMAIN.
