Most of my blog posts have been cold and emotionless. Merely telling dates for shows and posting the occasional photo of whatever I am working on. But here on this Friday as Nirvana plays on my streaming internet radio I feel as though I should finally take the advice of others and open up. Even though it’s not in the flesh and perhaps I feel safer knowing that no one reads my blog I am still apprehensive. This year has been like a full on catastrophic act of God and full of exhaustion, deaths, new births and I’m sure a lesson to be learned. I just realized how I wish I was blogging about what show or party I was planning on attending tonight. “But I digress”…Let me sum up….Birth of second son, death of cousin, start new meds, broken ribs, film a new short, paint a bunch of murals, after half a dozen trips and two agents plans to move to NY are postponed, gallery working with closes, change meds, turn down a bunch of shows, book more shows, start sculpting, take on a third job (not including art) to pay bills, younger brother dies in car crash on way home from college, dislocate nose, re-dislocate nose, trying to find time to work on art for shows. But don’t count me out yet, I am determined to make important work.
